Mar Português

Thu Sep 6, 2007, 8:28 AM
Ó Mar salgado, quanto do teu sal
São lágrimas de Portugal?
Por te cruzarmos, quantas mães choraram,
Quantos filhos em vão rezaram,
Quantas noivas ficaram por casar,
Para que fosses nosso, ó Mar!

Valeu a pena? Tudo vale a pena,
Se a alma não for pequena.
Quem quer passar além do Bojador,
Tem que passar além da dor.
Deus ao Mar o perigo e o abismo deu,
Mas foi nele que espelhou o Céu.

Hei, thanks alot!
If that´s near the Ponte D. Luís I., then I´m pretty sure we were looking at the same spot. If not, well, there are so many awesome places like that one (great shot, by the way) and those flowers are very tipical for Portugal..

Hahah don´t underestimate those plants! They´re truely not peacefully, they grow like hell. If you drop a few seeds in your garden, it will soon be overrun by those flowers. I´ll never forget the face of my mother when she tried to get rid of them again. And i thought she would be grateful for a few more flowers in there.. well, now i know it better, at the time i was a child =)
